While we’re on the subject, all of your sleep will be terrible. Your character will wake with a yell or a start. Keep that in mind anytime you complete a long rest, or if someone casts a sleep spell. You can also expect terrible nightmares related to the event. Notably, this can come and go with stress. Suggestion for your DM: Maybe give yourself disadvantage on any wisdom throws against illusions or enchantments. There's even a dissociative subtype, where some (but not all) people with PTSD feel like everything is surreal or that everything is dream-like in quality. They might notice a "1000 yard stare," all the while your character is uncontrollably thinking about what went wrong and how to fix it. So, other characters might see your character zoning out during quiet moments, or he might stay quiet while others are talking.
